EA is bringing Crysis 1 to the Xbox and Playstation 3, they are dubbing it Crysis 1 Console.
This game was previously only available to PC users with a very high end setup and reportedly will only be $20 or 1600 MS Points and downloadable only.
"We are extremely proud of what we were able to accomplish with Crysis. We set out to create a next-generation FPS and delivered a PC experience that became a benchmark for quality – and still is for many gamers even four years later," said Cevat Yerli, CEOof Crytek, when Crysis 1 was confirmed for consoles. "By bringing the single-player campaign to console, we believe we are again setting a new standard for quality in downloadable gaming."
The remastered Crysis uses the new graphics engine from its newly released sequel, CryEngine 3, which means enhanced textures, lighting and visual effects, not to mention support for stereoscopic 3D. - Softpedia.com
Crysis might be the best FPS ever, mixing over-the-top Gunning and dazzling pyrotechnics with sufficient freedom to make me feel like the bad-ass cunning which i ever wanted to be.
ReplyDeleteI have yet to play it, one of my buddies from work really loved Crysis 2 on the Xbox, and I've only read a little about the PC original. I will have to play it sometime.
